📋 Description

• Own legal design for banking, payments, investment and credit.
• Negotiate with sponsor banks, payment processors, card networks, and lenders.
• Draft terms, disclosures, and product agreements.
• Partner with Compliance to build controls, guardrails and support models.
• Provide executives clear recommendations and tradeoffs on risks.
• Escalate to regulators, bank partners, and outside counsel.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years leading financial product legal (GC or head of product legal).
• Deep fluency in bank partnerships, payments, money transmission, and lending.
• Working knowledge of securities law as it applies to investment products.
• Builder with a track record launching regulated financial products; comfortable as sole lawyer.
• Pragmatic judgment translating regulatory ambiguity into clear product decisions.
• Crisp, concise communication with engineers, product teams, banks, and regulators.
