Product Counsel - HR Apps/Employment Law

📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day legal support to HR Apps product and engineering teams across HR products.
• Review product requirements early to identify compliance and regulatory risks.
• Develop HR Apps compliance artifacts to seed the compliance hub.
• Build AI-driven workflows, checklists, playbooks, and frameworks for R&D requests (via JIRA/Notion).
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on product offerings.
• Support customer escalations and vendor/terms discussions for HR Apps products.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in-house at a tech company; product counseling preferred.
• Deep experience advising on employment obligations and durable compliance resources.
• Experience using AI tools to improve individual work and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus and strong working relationships.
• Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with focus on progress and teamwork.
• JD degree and active State bar license.
