Product Manager, Billing

📋 Description

• Own the Billing product area roadmap, outcomes, and quarterly goals.
• Partner with Engineering to deliver resilient billing systems (accuracy, idempotency, retries, monitoring, incident response).
• Improve revenue protection via dunning, failed payments, refunds, and dispute flows.
• Define and maintain Billing domain docs: data model, event flows, edge cases, run-books.
• Run discovery with GTM, Product Analyst, and customers; turn insights into PRDs and plans.
• Establish and track core Billing KPIs, e.g., failed payment and recovery rates.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of product management experience with 1–2 years owning a technically complex domain.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, payouts, fees, refunds/chargebacks, multi-processor setups, and reconciliation.
• Proven ability to work with engineers on backend design trade-offs and ship reliable platform capabilities.
• Comfort with data: define metrics, measurement plan, and using analysis to prioritize impact.
• Clear written communication and structured thinking; turn ambiguity into executable plans.
• High ownership, discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.
