Product Manager, Developer Platform

📋 Description

• Own the roadmap for developer-facing products (REST APIs, MCPs, SDKs, API playground).
• Define primitives for agentic R&D workflows and ensure developer usability.
• Enable scalable partner extensibility; collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Partnerships, and Customer Success.
• Own the developer experience end-to-end; close gaps in docs, APIs, and support.
• Establish feedback loops via interviews, signals, and usage data to shape roadmaps.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years PM with API/SDK or developer platform ownership.
• Technical fluency: read code, review API specs, talk with engineers.
• Developer empathy; focus on AI-era tooling for Benchling.
• Familiar with APIs, SDKs, docs, and onboarding; understands tradeoffs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; crisp requirements.
• Nice to Have: Life sciences or enterprise SaaS familiarity; dev communities or platform experience.
