Product Security Engineer II

📋 Description

• Partner with product and engineering to identify app security risks and frame them as business risks.
• Read code, configurations, PRs, and logs to spot security risks in systems.
• Contribute small code changes, scripts, detections, or automation to improve AppSec workflows.
• Review code changes in GitHub and track remediation with engineers.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities from testing, bug bounty, and tooling; prioritize by risk.
• Translate recurring findings into repeatable security guidance and checklists.

What We Look For

• 0–2+ years of experience in application security or related fields.
• Foundational programming ability in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar.
• Comfort reading, navigating, and reasoning about code in unfamiliar codebases.
• Experience using Git and GitHub workflows (branches, commits, PRs, code review).
• Some hands-on experience building, testing, or securing software (internships, labs, bug bounty, etc.).
• Foundational understanding of web, API, and cloud security risks (OWASP Top 10).
