Project Accountant

📋 Description

• Support project accounting across wind, solar, and storage projects.
• Manage project-level financial statements in construction and operations.
• Analyze budgets, cash flow, and project financing with stakeholders.
• Review contracts for GAAP-compliant accounting (debt, revenue).
• Prepare monthly budget-to-actual analyses and explain variances.
• Assist with annual audits and provide documentation to external auditors.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years in project accounting; multi-level partnerships.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with multilevel partnership consolidation structures.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; data analysis skills.
• Location: Charlottesville HQ; remote/hybrid considered.
