Public Affairs Advisor

📋 Description

• Help shape and execute a global external affairs strategy that strengthens Discord's relationships
• Build and manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships, making sure each one advances clear policy
• Measure the impact of partnerships and engagements, and report outcomes to team and company
• Own Discord's headquarters visit program for policymakers, government officials, and other key
• Lead special projects for the Public Policy team, such as external events, policy research
• Develop external-facing materials such as briefing books, talking points, presentations

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public policy, public affairs, and/or civil society partnerships
• Experience owning and executing a multi-year public affairs or partnership program
• Experience building and managing partnerships with civil society, academic experts, and industry
• A track record of planning and executing high-level visits, delegations, or events for senior
• Familiarity with technology policy issues
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially executive briefings, and the
