Public Policy Manager, State and Local

📋 Description

• Execute Lyft's local policy strategy across CA markets (SF Bay Area, LA, SAN).
• Build and manage relationships with local government, nonprofits, and business groups.
• Travel to attend local community and industry events as needed.
• Collaborate with business/communications/marketing to highlight Lyft partnerships.
• Represent Lyft with elected officials; draft testimony for hearings.
• Track local legislation and brief stakeholders on developments.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of political and/or government affairs experience
• Experience lobbying elected or government officials on complex regulatory issues
• Strong understanding of municipal and county policymaking
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Experience managing external consultants and lobbyists
• Knowledge of transportation and mobility policy
• Willingness to travel across multiple markets as needed
