Purchasing Manager

📋 Description

• Own and administer the purchasing process, including approved policies, procedures, approval
• Develop, document, communicate, and improve purchasing procedures, standard work, forms, templates
• Train employees and affected departments on purchasing requirements, monitor compliance, address
• Lead purchasing team members by setting priorities, assigning work, balancing workloads, providing
• Review purchasing queues, open orders, overdue commitments, pricing changes, shortages
• Approve supplier selections, purchase orders, changes, exceptions, and other purchasing

• Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement, supplier management, materials, supply chain
• Experience supervising employees, leading a functional team, or directing cross-functional
• Working knowledge of purchasing practices, supplier management, commercial terms, internal
• Ability to evaluate supplier proposals, pricing, terms, lead times, service, quality, risk, and
