R&D Engineer - Consumables

📋 Description

• Develop next-gen consumables, including cassettes, from concept to production.
• Design, build and troubleshoot prototype cassettes, fixtures and test equipment.
• Test consumables with mass photometry instruments and analyse data to guide design.
• Translate product requirements into technical specs, verification plans and docs.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, software and operations teams to deliver features.
• Define and manage critical consumable-to-instrument interfaces for reliable system performance.

🎯 Requirements

• Self-motivated engineer in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong mechanical design experience, ideally with consumables like cassettes
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, assemblies and drawings
• Experience developing products from concept through prototyping, verification and manufacture
• Strong understanding of injection moulding, DFM, tooling validation, drawings and GD&T
• Experience designing and delivering jigs and fixtures for development and testing activities
