Research Associate, In Vivo

📋 Description

• Perform dose administration (IP, SQ, RO, PO, IV) and blood collection in rodents.
• Train to assist with sterile survival surgical procedures (stereotaxic injections).
• Perform behavioral phenotyping assays (Y-maze, open field, rotarod, Morris water maze).
• Maintain compliance with IACUC and regulations to ensure animal welfare.
• Maintain vivarium, lab stock, safety records, and SOPs.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/AS degree in biology, veterinary science, or related field, or 5+ years industry experience.
• 2+ years of animal husbandry, colony management or rodent work in a research setting.
• Experience with dose administration (IP, SQ, RO, PO, IV) and blood collection.
• Experience assisting with rodent anesthesia and sterile survival surgical procedures.
• Hands-on experience with behavior phenotyping assays: Y-Maze, Open field, Rotarod, water maze.
• Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, and climb; lift up to 50 lbs.
