Research Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Create science-based solutions that can be reused as modules across clients.
• Apply ML methods such as regularised regression, clustering, tree ensembles, and NLP to client data.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to characterise and visualise datasets.
• Extend Python and Spark programming to develop efficient science code.
• Identify opportunities in Data Science for future dunnhumby solutions.
• Follow QA processes and coding standards; communicate with stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, ML, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Biology or related field.
• Experience with ML techniques (regularised regression, clustering, tree-based ensembles) and libraries.
• Experience with Python programming and handling large data volumes with Hadoop/Spark/SQL.
• Experience with open-source ML packages (Pandas, scikit-learn) and data visualisation tools.
• Willingness to present work to technical and non-technical audiences; contribute to the DS community.
• PhD in a related field is a plus.
