Revenue Accounting Lead

📋 Description

• Build the revenue close, not just run it: design the monthly and quarterly revenue close process
• Identify every manual, repetitive revenue task and systematically replace it with automation via
• Own and configure our revenue sub-ledger once the new ERP is stood up, including the credit-pool
• Partner with Sales and the Deal Desk (RevOps) to review new and non-standard contracts, value-based
• Own AR accounting end-to-end: reconciliations, aging, and the allowance for doubtful accounts, with
• Help build the first revenue policy memo and other revenue-related technical policies including

🎯 Requirements

• 4-6 years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally including usage-based, consumption
• A finance engineer's mindset: you build scalable systems that reduce manual work and increase
• Proven, hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in your actual day-to-day
• Strong judgment about which accounting activities should be automated and which genuinely require
• Solid working knowledge of ASC 606, including performance obligation analysis and variable
• A clear communicator who can explain revenue recognition to engineers, salespeople, and founders
