RF System Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end RF architecture: planning, budgets, cascade, range.
• Design waveform and receive chain: chirp synthesis, LO, receiver lineup.
• Architect software-defined approach: reconfigurable waveforms, front-ends.
• Design and bring up T/R modules, RF fronts, and antennas at element/array level.
• Define multi-channel amplitude/phase calibration from factory to field.
• Simulate, fabricate, measure, iterate; validate against hardware.
• Plan and run lab and field test campaigns with live target-tracking.
• Harden for thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC; production-grade standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on RF system design in radar/defence electronics
• Complete RF system from architecture to field testing
• FMCW chain, phased-array/AESA design, software-defined radar
• Antenna design at element and array level; microwave design (X/Ku/Ka)
• RF architecture analysis: link budget, cascades, frequency planning, spur charts, phase-noise budgeting
• EM simulation (HFSS, CST, FEKO, AWR) and circuit/system simulation (ADS, Microwave Office, SystemVue)
• Hands-on RF lab: VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, phase-noise, power meters
• Scripting for analysis: MATLAB or Python
• Eager to learn – treat unknowns as starting point
