Rigging and Equipment Operator

📋 Description

• Move equipment and fabricated units throughout the shop and yard.
• Secure and bind units to trailers for transport within the facility and yard.
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment to position units.
• Calculate, determine, and verify load weights prior to lifting.
• Select appropriate rigging equipment and rig loads for lifting and transport.
• Coordinate with forklift operators, crane operators, fabrication personnel, and logistics during loading/unloading.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with industrial rigging and heavy equipment movement.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and commercial trucks/trailers.
• Ability to determine load weights and select proper rigging configurations.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and transportation procedures.
• Ability to read and understand load charts, rigging capacities, and shipping requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
