Risk Assurance Manager

📋 Description

• Provide independent 2LOD assurance over risk management framework, controls and processes for Monzo
• Ensure compliance with Irish and EU regulatory obligations and internal governance standards.
• Design, execute and report on assurance reviews across conduct, financial crime, IT, information
• Foster risk culture and enable oversight by senior management and the Board.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand product/risk profiles and support risk-based decision making.
• Contribute to the annual risk assurance plan using regulatory trends and horizon scanning.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in risk assurance, internal audit and/or risk management within banking/fintech
• Experience planning and executing assurance activities, including root-cause analysis.
• Proven track record across ICT, Information Security, Financial/Prudential, Fraud and Financial
• Deep understanding of COSO, ISO risk frameworks and practical 2LOD oversight.
• Hands-on risk and control testing with attention to detail and identification of gaps.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly; proficient in data analysis and presenting to stakeholders.
