RN School Nurse

📋 Description

• Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
• Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school.
• Document each instance for medication administration.
• Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation.
• Maintain security of school health supplies.
• Instruct students in health education.

🎯 Requirements

• Current/Active Registered Nurse
• Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and treatment
• Working knowledge of public health problems and coordination with health and social services
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws affecting school health services
• Knowledge of school organization and the community served
• Ability to coordinate services between the school, local health agency, and community resources
