Robotics and Controls Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and develop the Systems Analysts team; manage capacity, hire, and ramp talent.
• Drive design, development, and evaluation of robotic control algorithms powering the Ion platform.
• Collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and QA/Regulatory domains to deliver robotic systems.
• Set direction, develop talent, and drive cross-functional solutions across the org.
• Oversee software release documentation, including regulatory escalations, anomaly listings, and patches.

• Leadership & People Management: Lead and grow the Systems Analysts; assess capacity; hire and ramp talent.
• Cross-Functional & Program Management: Own cross-functional interfaces; represent team in reviews; communicate status clearly.
• Technical Contribution: Demonstrate sound engineering judgment across software and hardware; apply control theory to design tradeoffs.
• Programming Skills: Strong C/C++ and MATLAB; hands-on to support troubleshooting.
• Education & Training: PhD in CS/ME/Robotics; Masters considered; 4+ years IC and 2+ years leadership.
