Security Control Assessor Representative (SCAR)

📋 Description

• Review, assess, and provide advice/recommendations to SCAs and AOs throughout the RMF process.
• Obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals for AFNWC weapon subsystems and supporting
• Collaborate with SCARs, SCAs, ISSMs, Program Managers, and AO representatives.
• Adhere to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for assigned programs.
• Develop and review System Security Plans (SSPs).
• Write comprehensive Security Assessment Reports (SARs).

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant work experience, including as an ISSO, ISSM, SCA, SCAR, or similar roles.
• Mastery of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) including all seven steps.
• In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and their application to complex government
• Comprehensive technical understanding and practical experience with Windows/Linux OS hardening
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewall configurations, IDS/IPS, cloud security (FedRAMP
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning (ACAS/Tenable.sc/Nessus), configuration assessment
