Security Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and implement security controls across platform, apps, and infra
• Embed security into the SDLC with reviews and threat modelling
• Lead vulnerability assessments and remediation with engineering teams
• Monitor for suspicious activity; support incident response
• Define security standards and defaults to make secure easy
• Collaborate with infra on secure cloud architecture and CI/CD

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in security engineering, app security, or systems security
• Strong understanding of secure software design and OWASP Top 10
• Hands-on AWS security: IAM, security groups, secrets management
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, DAST/SAST, IDS
• Demonstrated threat modelling and security design reviews
• Knowledge of Privacy Act, Essential Eight, ISO 27001 (Australia)
