Security Engineer (Contract)

📋 Description

• Conduct vulnerability assessments for apps, systems, and networks.
• Communicate security vulnerabilities and remediation to internal groups.
• Perform code reviews to find vulnerabilities and fix errors in development.
• Identify security risks in software development and deployment.
• Utilize vulnerability assessment tools and perform manual verification.
• Create assessment reports and present findings to management.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS or equivalent
• 6–8 years experience in vulnerability assessment
• Certifications related to vulnerability assessment (GIAC, CEH)
• Hands-on with network vulnerability assessments and app scans
• Knowledge of OWASP tools and methodologies; Windows/Linux/Unix
• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning and web app scanners (Qualys/Nessus/Nexpose/Saint; AppScan/Burp)
