Senior Accountant

📋 Description

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate.
• Oversee general ledger integrity and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Manage daily cash reporting and post non-AP cash transactions.
• Lead complex reconciliations—bank, balance sheets, intercompany accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses with department heads.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and strengthen accounting controls.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in real estate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency with real estate accounting software (Yardi, MRI, RealPage).
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) and advanced Excel.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge including related party, partnership, and fund accounting.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior accounting staff.
