Senior Accountant

📋 Description

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and file state/local tax filings across 28 states.
• Conduct accounting/tax research to ensure compliance with evolving state regulations.
• Draft, review, and update accounting policies to GAAP and government regulations.
• Understand adjacent finance functions (AP/AR/Payroll) to improve controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent application of financial controls.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
• 3-7 years in public accounting; strong GAAP foundation
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance (sales/use tax, gross receipts, etc.)
• Ability to independently research complex accounting or tax issues and implement solutions
• Experience developing or improving policies in a regulated environment
• Due to contractual requirements, only U.S. persons will be considered
