Senior Accountant (German Market)

📋 Description

• Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closings.
• Prepare and review financial reports in NetSuite.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns in line with German regulations.
• Prepare annual financial statements under HGB.
• Lead and coach junior accounting staff; support external audits.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, ideally in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting standards, HGB, VAT, and statutory reporting.
• Experience preparing annual financial statements and corporate income tax returns.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Experience reviewing accounting work and guiding junior colleagues.
• Ability to work both operationally and strategically.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in German and English.
