Senior Actuator Mechanical Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Size and design torque-dense actuators for humanoid robots with motors, bearings, encoders
• Select reduction methods and develop strain wave and planetary gearbox designs
• Create 3D CAD models and production drawings using SolidWorks or NX with GD&T
• Choose materials and manufacturing methods balancing performance, weight, cost
• Lead rapid prototyping via 3D printing, CNC machining, and rapid fabrication
• Design components for high-volume production (casting, injection moulding, extrusion)

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in mechanical design for robotics, electromechanical systems, or complex hardware
• 3+ years designing planetary, cycloidal, or strain wave actuators
• Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, statics, dynamics, and materials
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, NX, or similar CAD tools
• Experience applying GD&T based on ASME Y14.5
