Senior AI Research Scientist (Model-based RL)

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and evaluate model-based RL agents including MPC/MPPI planning controllers.
• Develop learned dynamics/world models generalizable across systems.
• Research safe RL, constrained control, scenario planning, Bayesian RL for reliable deployment.
• Translate research into production-ready solutions and lead large-scale rollouts.
• Communicate findings via documentation, presentations, and discussions.
• Mentor Research Engineers and define new research directions.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in ML, control, CS, or related field, or equivalent with strong model-based RL expertise.
• At least 2 years of post-PhD research experience.
• Deep knowledge in model-based/model-free RL, safe RL, planning, world models, DL or control theory.
• Proven experience building/evaluating AI agents using simulators and sim-to-real.
• Strong Python, PyTorch, SciPy; experience with Ray, Kubernetes, Docker, GCP.
• Publications or contributions in RL/AI/control; strong remote collaboration.
