Senior Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• Participate in product work; give feedback and propose solutions.
• Maintain understanding of the team's domain in product and engineering.
• Provide feedback on code reviews and contribute ideas.
• Contribute to the shared codebase and tooling.
• Debug and solve technical and business issues.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; ship secure, reliable, scalable systems.
• Experience designing or adopting automation workflows and iterating.
• Think in systems: define specs, break down plans, verify, and ensure quality.
• PostgreSQL (or similar).
• CI/CD with GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar.
• Automation and AI fluency.
