Senior Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR/Payroll products.
• Participate in product work; provide feedback and solutions.
• Maintain deep understanding of the team's domain (product & engineering).
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the shared codebase.
• Redesign engineering delivery with autonomous agents as default.
• Build reusable agentic workflows and verify results with tests.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong fundamentals; ships secure, reliable, scalable systems.
• Design/adopt agentic automation workflows; iterate improvements.
• Systems thinking: define specs, breakdown plans, verify quality.
• Postgres (or similar).
• CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
