Senior Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR/Payroll products.
• Build tools, APIs, and integrations.
• Work across backend (Elixir/Phoenix) and frontend (React/Next.js).
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with QA, SRE.
• Backend hosted on AWS with CI/CD deployments.
• Operate in an async, autonomy-focused environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals and scalable systems.
• Postgres (or similar).
• CI/CD with GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Demonstrates automation and AI fluency.
• Experience designing agentic/automation workflows.
• Nice to have: Elixir, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React.
