Senior Backend Engineer — Cari

📋 Description

• Own the transaction processing platform infrastructure for signing and settlement
• Own the transaction-ordering and concurrency-control logic at scale
• Design data models and API contracts; define retry/backoff logic
• Define production-ready criteria: SLOs, alerts, and runbooks
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Coordinate with Banking and Blockchain engineers to translate requirements into platform capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 5-7 years backend experience with strict correctness or ordering
• Strong TypeScript proficiency; experience with Effect.ts or similar
• Experience with durable workflows/orchestration (e.g., Temporal)
• Concurrency control: partitioned execution, idempotency, at-least-once, reconciliation
• PostgreSQL and Kafka production experience
• Able to own a service independently with reliability and design responsibility
• Strong written communication; able to write RFCs
