Senior Backend Engineer - Databases Pyroscope

📋 Description

• Lead projects end-to-end: design, delivery, ops, and follow-up.
• Design, build, and operate core DB components: ingestion, storage, query.
• Act as product owner proxy; join customer calls to shape roadmap.
• Own outcomes against SLOs and cost targets; automate toil.
• Collaborate with App Observability, Tempo, and other Databases squads to improve profiles.
• On-call involvement (EMEA rotation) and post-incident learning as part of craft.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with Go; other languages (Rust/C/C++/Python) ok.
• Production distributed systems experience; multi-tenant data systems.
• Product sense; translate customer pain into deliverables.
• On-call / reliability mindset; pager experience.
• Strong software craftsmanship; maintainable code and pragmatic optimization.
• Clear communication; comfortable in remote, asynchronous work.
