📋 Description

• Lead projects from concept to rollout, incl. design, delivery, and operations.
• Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed DB: ingestion, storage, query.
• Wear the product hat; translate customer pain into deliverables, shape roadmap.
• Drive operational excellence; own SLOs and unit-cost targets, automate toil.
• Partner across Grafana; collaborate with App Observability, Alloy, Tempo squads.
• Participate in on-call (EMEA rotation) and post-incident learning.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience with a systems language (Go; other langs: Rust, C/C++, Python, Java).
• Distributed systems in production; multi-tenant data systems.
• Product sense; comfortable with customers; no dedicated PM.
• Strong software craftsmanship; robust, maintainable code; know when to optimize.
• Operational mindset; pager/SRE-style work; infra as code; reliability as a feature.
• Clear communication; remote asynchronous.
