📋 Description

• Deliver significant technical projects involving multi-month initiatives
• Own major components of Tempo (ingestion, storage, query, metrics)
• Build APIs for humans and agents
• Contribute to operational excellence against SLOs (P99 latency, incident recurrence)
• Collaborate with Product and sibling teams
• Participate in on-call for services you build

🎯 Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience building/operating distributed data systems in production
• Strong software craftsmanship (clean, robust, performant code)
• Strong Go, or path to it (Rust, C, C++ translates well)
• Operational mindset: owned production services, carried pager, reduced toil
• Customer focus and pragmatism: break problems into short feedback loops
• Collaboration and clear writing in remote asynchronous environments
