Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR/Payroll products.
• Participate in product work; provide feedback and solutions.
• Maintain domain understanding; review code and mentor others.
• Redesign engineering to use autonomous agents as default.
• Propose and implement end-to-end agentic workflows.
• Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives in code.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; production-grade, secure systems.
• Experience designing automation workflows; AI fluency.
• Systems thinking: define specs, plan, verify.
• PostgreSQL or similar relational DB.
• CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities.
