Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote HR/Payroll products
• Build tools, APIs, and integrations with Elixir/Phoenix backend
• Ship secure, reliable, scalable production systems
• Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Next.js) and SRE/QA
• Own design, verification, and performance improvements
• Mentor engineers and participate in RFCs and reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Strong fundamentals; ship production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable
• Experience designing or adopting automation workflows
• Systems thinking: define specs, break down plans, verify, and ensure quality
• Postgres (or similar) database
• CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar)
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI fluency
