Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR/Payroll products.
• Build APIs and integrations; backend in Elixir/Phoenix.
• Redesign engineering delivery with autonomous agents as default.
• Propose and implement agentic workflows end-to-end (spec → plan → verify).
• Provide feedback on code reviews and contribute to shared codebase.
• Deploy code with CI/CD and multiple daily deployments.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; ship secure, reliable production systems.
• Experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
• Systems thinking: define specs, plan, verify, and close quality gaps.
• PostgreSQL (or similar).
• CI/CD (GitLab, Github, Jenkins or similar).
• Automation and AI fluency.
