Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects on Remote's HR/Payroll products.
• Build tools, APIs, and integrations for our products.
• Backend tech: Elixir and Phoenix; Postgres database.
• Frontend is React/Nextjs and AWS hosting infrastructure.
• Work async with cross-functional teams across the world.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals and track record shipping secure, scalable prod systems.
• Experience designing or adopting automation workflows (agentic/automation).
• Systems thinking: define specs, break down plans, verify quality.
• Postgres (or similar).
• CI/CD (GitLab, Github, Jenkins or similar).
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
