Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Build tools, APIs, and integrations for Remote HR products.
• Backend with Elixir and Phoenix, using PostgreSQL.
• Frontend uses React and Next.js; hosted on AWS.
• Cross-functional teams: Frontend, Backend, SRE, QA.
• Open to multiple teams; interview defines exact team.
• Deploy code multiple times per day via CI/CD pipelines.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; shipping prod systems that are secure, reliable, scalable.
• Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
• Ability to think in systems: define specs clearly, break down plans, instrument verification, and close the loop on quality.
• Postgres (or similar).
• CI/CD (GitLab, Github, Jenkins or similar).
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
