Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

📋 Description

• Lead major team projects for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• Contribute to product work; advise with technical insights for improvements.
• Maintain deep understanding of the team's domain (product and engineering).
• Provide feedback on code reviews and contribute to the shared codebase.
• Debug and resolve technical and business issues.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring, RFCs, and rotations.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals; shipping secure, reliable production systems.
• Experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
• Systems thinking: define specs, plan, verify, ensure quality.
• Postgres or similar DB experience.
• CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
• Strong automation and AI capabilities and fluency.
