Senior Backend Engineer - Hyperliquid ecosystem

📋 Description

• Own key architecture and technical decisions across backend systems, ensuring they remain scalable
• Build and operate real-time data pipelines handling order book updates, trades, and market events.
• Design, develop, and maintain API infrastructure, including GraphQL and WebSockets, for web and
• Work extensively with PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, and similar technologies to support
• Optimize queries, caching strategies, schemas, and data access patterns as usage and data volumes
• Instrument services with appropriate metrics, monitoring, and alerting, and participate in on-call

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, ideally with strong production experience
• Proven experience designing and operating real-time systems using WebSockets, event streaming
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis; experience with ClickHouse or another columnar database is
• Demonstrated experience operating highly available services at significant scale.
• Strong understanding of trading concepts, including orders, fills, order books, positions, and
• Experience designing APIs for latency-sensitive, high-throughput applications and clients.
