Senior Backend Engineer - Monitoring and Anomaly Detection (Monetization)

📋 Description

• Build and operate telemetry, detection, and reconciliation tooling across CustomersDot, Salesforce, Zuora.
• Greenfield team: shape operating rhythm, incidents, and reliability with telemetry/AI.
• Automated billing anomaly detection for event drops, abuse spikes, and discrepancies.
• End-to-end telemetry, tracing, and reconciliation across usage and billing pipelines.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs; write runbooks; participate in incident handling.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Support, and partners to build reliable tooling.

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Background in site reliability or observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience building anomaly detection, monitoring, or risk tooling.
• Exposure to data stores (ClickHouse) and pipelines (Siphon, NATS JetStream).
• Experience with billing, financial, or business-critical systems.
• Proven track record owning a project from concept to production.
