Senior Battery Engineer, Cell Performance

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and analyze cell-level experiments to assess performance
• Champion safety during electrochemical testing on benchtop and lab test vehicles
• Investigate degradation and root causes; translate findings into actions
• Lead continuous improvement of battery testing; standardize protocols
• Conduct durability testing on prototype cell packages to inform specs
• Collaborate with electrode, electrolyte, and manufacturing teams to close gaps

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, or related with 4+ years or PhD
• Hands-on experience with electrochemical systems and data interpretation
• Expertise in Root Cause Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
• Excellent communication and cross-location collaboration
• Statistical design of experiments (e.g., fractional factorial) and linear regression
