Senior Business Development Manager - Engineering Biology

📋 Description

• Lead EngBio BD, build consortia, manage events, and submit funding proposals
• Collaborate with Commercial Director and management team to drive growth
• Develop partnerships aligned with national priorities (UKRI, DSIT, Innovate UK, EU)
• Coordinate engagement with academia, industry, government, regulators
• Build and manage a structured pipeline of opportunities
• Support post-award compliance and reporting when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Scientific degree or equivalent experience
• Proven BD/partnership experience in science/innovation
• Knowledge of UK (essential) and EU (desirable) grant funding
• Experience drafting joint funding proposals (UKRI, DSIT, NIHR, EU, etc.)
• Strong collaboration and planning skills; excellent written/verbal communication
• Highly organized with multiple deadlines and opportunities
