Senior Chemist

📋 Description

• Analysing water, soil, and environmental samples using a range of organic testing techniques.
• Operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation, including GC, GC-MS, and HPLC.
• Developing, validating, and improving test methods to enhance laboratory capability.
• Interpreting and reporting results accurately using our Laboratory Information Management System
• Ensuring all testing is carried out in line with ISO 17025 and laboratory quality standards.
• Investigating quality issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally with GC-MS, GC-FID, HPLC, LC-MS, ICP, or
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 or other regulated laboratory quality systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Good computer skills, including experience using LIMS or other laboratory software.
• Full UK driving licence.
