Senior Clinical Development Engineer, Digital

📋 Description

• Translate surgeon needs into requirements, risks, and validation plans.
• Serve as clinical voice for digital/robotic products, focusing on usability and workflow fit.
• Identify unmet clinical needs via surgeon engagement, OR observation, and workflow analysis.
• Partner with engineering, software, data science, regulatory, and QA to define requirements and mitigations.
• Plan, execute, and document prototype, simulated-use, and clinical evaluations.
• Lead complex clinical development workstreams and mentor others.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in medical devices with a BS (6 MS or 3 PhD)
• Proven design-to-launch experience
• Regulated medical device discovery/development experience
• Experience with surgeons in OR/simulation/lab; travel up to 25%
• Strong knowledge of surgical terminology and robotic workflows
• Translate clinical needs into user needs, use cases, and validation plans
