Senior Colour, Materials & Finish Designer

📋 Description

• Own CMF direction across all robot programmes, from early concept through to production-ready
• Develop CMF strategy as an integrated part of the team's overall design direction.
• Develop and maintain material libraries, finish standards, and sample archives.
• Define and document CMF specifications for engineering handoff.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers.
• Lead CMF reviews, presenting direction to design leads and senior stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of CMF experience with complex manufactured products
• Deep knowledge of materials, surface finishes, coatings, and manufacturing processes
• Experience producing CMF specifications for engineering teams
• Confidence to defend material direction with process and technical trade-offs
• Comfort operating in ambiguity
• Based in London, 5 days a week
