Senior Commercial Counsel, Data Acquisition  Licensing

📋 Description

• Lead negotiation and drafting of data licensing and acquisition agreements globally
• Negotiate with data providers, credit bureaus, government/public-record sources, and third‑party
• Structure terms on permitted use, data rights, warranties, updates, SLAs, and audit rights
• Advise on regulatory regimes (FCRA, GLBA, GDPR, CPRA/CCPA, etc.) across jurisdictions
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Privacy, and Sales on data-sourcing and RiskOS integrations
• Mentor junior lawyers and support cross-border data sourcing and contracting efforts

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; active U.S. state bar
• 7+ years post‑JD experience in data licensing/acquisition agreements
• Deep familiarity with data privacy frameworks (FCRA, GLBA, state laws)
• Experience with credit bureaus, data brokers, or alternative-data vendors
• Strong negotiation of technology integration, reseller, or platform‑partner agreements
• Ability to translate complex terms into actionable guidance for product and leadership
