📋 Description

• Review, draft, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of energy and commercial contracts, including
• Serve as senior legal advisor on structuring, negotiating, and closing battery storage and other
• Advise the sales and partnership teams on legal implications, risks, and opportunities associated
• Provide substantive guidance on regulatory and market-specific issues affecting energy storage and
• Utilize and build upon deep knowledge of legal issues relating to energy regulatory matters, IP
• Prepare, maintain, and improve template agreements, playbooks, training, and operational guidance

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; strong academic credentials
• Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of relevant legal experience, including significant experience
• Direct experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating battery energy storage system (BESS)
• Extensive experience drafting, preparing, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Working knowledge of U.S. energy markets, ISO/RTO structures, and regulatory frameworks governing
• Experience with behind-the-meter or C&I-sited storage, and with storage participating in demand
