Senior Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Partner with engineering teams to develop actionable insights guiding Wayve AI Driver improvements
• Analyze real and simulated driving data to advance functionality, safety, and performance
• Design experiments and off-road measurements to meet product requirements and safety targets
• Investigate model training/inference bottlenecks and validate optimization hypotheses
• Summarise and communicate findings clearly to influence team direction and priorities
• Collaborate asynchronously across time zones with cross-functional partners

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in a Data Science role
• Fluent in querying and building large datasets; production-level SQL for data pipelines
• Experience designing robust real-world experiments (e.g., A/B) and evaluating test-statistics
• Strong foundations in statistics; distribution testing and frequentist assumptions
• Proficient with statistical scripting languages and DS/ML packages (Python: pandas, sklearn
• Ability to summarise, visualise, and communicate findings accessibly
