📋 Description

• As the first DS embedded in product engineering, you’ll integrate data science into Mixpanel’s
• Drive Signals, Forecasting, Simulation, Predictions, and Cohort Detection, ensuring rigorous
• Develop causal inference and time‑series models that power an AI system to explain changes and
• Collaborate with AI platform, analysis, and data infrastructure teams to scale analytic solutions
• Translate statistical outputs into clear, actionable experiences for customers and product teams.
• Ensure production results align with expected statistical behavior and business outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• MS or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent industry
• 5+ years applying statistical modeling to real‑world product/business problems
• Hands‑on causal inference experience (propensity score matching, regression discontinuity
• Experience with survival/retention modeling (e.g., Cox, Kaplan‑Meier)
• Strong Python fluency: statsmodels, scikit‑learn, pandas, plus survival analysis and time‑series
• Experience with time‑series forecasting methods and foundational models (TimesFM, Chronos or
